Makeup is not only drawing, applying decorative cosmetics on the face, but also modeling, visual correction of the shape and complexion. With the help of makeup, you can change your appearance and look completely different.

Competent makeup emphasizes attractive features, hides skin imperfections, corrects the imbalance of features, creates a healthy-looking face, and even makes it possible to look younger.

There are two types of cosmetics:

  1. Organic, typically with modified natural oils and fats
  2. Inorganic with processed minerals such as iron oxides, talc, and zinc oxide.

The choice of makeup depends on the time of day, and most importantly, on its purpose. It should be harmoniously combined with all appearance: hair and eye color, skin tone, clothes, accessories, manicure.

These are the foremost used makeup products which you can find in every makeup stores:

  • Primers;
  • Concealer;
  • Foundation;
  • Rouge, blush, or blusher;
  • Bronzer;
  • Highlighter;
  • Eyebrow pencils, creams, waxes, gels, and powders;
  • Eyeshadow;
  • Mascara;
  • Lip products, including lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner and lip balms;
  • Face powder.

There are three main trends in cosmetics fashion: classic, romantic and avant-garde. Calmer tones and shades are typical of classic and romantic make-up, contrast, pretentiousness and a bright range of colors are avant-garde.

According to the color scheme, it is customary to divide the makeup into “warm” (predominance of yellow, green, brown and beige shades) and “cold” (pink, gray, blue and purple shades).

Since makeup is also a part of self-expression, it can be more varied and not match the environment, stand out and play the role of decoration.  Whether to use makeup or not is everyone’s choice. Before buying, you need to make sure that the makeup products are safe, check if you are allergic or intolerant to the ingredients.
